Devdutt Pattanaik: East vs. West -- the myths that mystify

Reminds me of an account by Richard Feynman about how different people think and perceive in actions as simple as counting. Feynman "talks" the numbers in his mind, while his colleague "sees" a tape with numbers moving. That simple difference in thinking leads to differences in whether they can read or talk simultaneous to counting.

Imagine then the difference that our myths can make.
